One death has occurred since my last correspondence. Gustave Becker, youngest son of Juluis and Maria Becker, was born on June 23, 1902 in Marion County. Kansas. He had four brothers and four sisters. Although mentally retarded, he attended the Sand Creek District School. He was baptized by Elder P. H. Richert on May 27,1923 and became a member of Tabor Church. After the death of his parents he made his home with his brother Reynold and wife Esther (Schmidt) Becker. After the death of Reynold he was taken to the Harvey County Farm, and after the Farm was discontinued he was taken to Shiloh Manor Nursing Home in Canton. He was of a quiet nature. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Alvin (Helena) Dalke of Goessel. He died on May 6 in Shiloh Manor. Services were held at Miller Funeral Home in Goessel. Six of his nephews were pallbearers. Interment was made in Tabor Cemetery. | |||
