Pearl Ann Koop, photographer and photo shop operator in Fort St. John, B.C., died suddenly from an epilepsy seizure on November 27. Pearl was the oldest and only daughter in a family of six, born to Mr. and Mrs. John Klaassen on October 31, 1935 in Mayfair, Sask.

Her family moved to Yarrow, B.C. in 1947, where she completed her schooling. She accepted Christ as her Saviour early in life and was baptized and received into the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church in 1950. During her teen years she was very active in music, Sunday school and other church· related activities.

She was married to Frank Koop on July 25, 1954, and five sons were born to the couple. After six years of mission work in Queensboro the Koops moved to the U.S. to further their education. In 1966 they moved to Fort St. John, B.C. where both taught school until Pearl took over the photography business begun by her husband.
