On May, 1968, he married Lena Tielmann. He became a good friend, father and grandfather to her family of one daughter, and three sons and their families. That year, they moved to Clearbrook, B.C. where he became a member of the Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church. He passed away on November 2.

(Lydia) Kroeker of Elm Creek, Man., Mrs. A (Mary) Wiebe of Domain, Man., Mrs. W. (Martha) Kroeker of Vauxhall, Alta., and Annie at home; 38 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Lena Tielmann of Clearbrook, B.C.; three stepsons and their families: Jake and Martha Tielmann of Winnipeg, Peter and Elsa Tielmann of Clearbrook, B.C.; and Walter and Netha Tielman of Russia; three brothers; two sisters; and many friends and relatives. He is now at home with the Lord.
