Margaretha Andres was born in Chortitz, Russia on April 13, 1891 to John and Aganetha Wiebe. She accepted salvation by faith and was baptized and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church in 1917. In the same year she was married to John Andres. | |||
In 1929 the family came to Canada, settling first in Manitoba. Her husband deceased in 1962. Since then Mrs. Andres lived with her daughter, Mrs. Tina Pankratz, in Vineland, Ont., moving into the local Home for the Aged on July 17th, 1973. She was a praying mother. | |||
She passed away April 16, 1974 and is survived by her son, John, of Steinbach, Man.; four daughters: Mrs. Abram (Mary) Janzen, Clearbrook, B.C.; Mrs. Peter (Margaret) Wiebe, Morden, Man.; Mrs. Peter (Nettie) Toews, Winnipeg; Mrs. Henry (Tina) Pankratz, Vineland, Ont.; one sister, Mrs. Anna Pauls of Winnipeg; four sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. | |||
The funeral was held April 20 in the Vineland Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. J. Klassen of the United Mennonite Church and pastor Isaac Block officiating. | |||

MRS. MARGARETHA ANDRES
Margaretha Andres was born in Chortitz, Russia on April 13, 1891 to John and Aganetha Wiebe. She accepted salvation by faith and was baptized and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church in 1917. In the same year she was married to John Andres.
