YOUNG MISSIONARY TO BRAZIL, MOTHER OF FOUR, DIES AT STEINBACH

Steinbach, Man. — While entering the Steinbach Bible Institute to attend a missionary conference, Mrs. Henry Loewen, 29, missionary on furlough from Brazil, collapsed and died within a short tie [sic]. More than 1,000 persons attended funeral services April 8 in the Evangelical Mennonite church here.

Mrs. Loewen, the former Betty R. Kroeker of Prairie Rose, leaves her husband and four small children. The Loewens served as missionaries to an Indian tribe in the Brazilian jungle for four years.
