MARY FUNK

Mrs. Mary Funk was born in Minnesota in 1887. In 1901 the family moved to Brotherfield, Sask., where in 1904 she accepted Christ and was baptized and received into the Brotherfield MB Church in 1905. In 1938 she moved to Ontario, where she was married to Jacob Funk, a widower with two teenage daughters.

In 1964 Mr. and Mrs. Funk celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They lived on their fruit farm in Virgil for a number of years, but spent the last few years in the Old Folks Home in Vineland.

Funeral services were held on May 1 in the Vineland MB Church with Rev. J. Neufeld and Rev. Peter Funk officiating. Left to mourn are her husband, Jacob Funk, two daughters: Mrs. Fred Mason and Mrs. John Dueck, and a sister, Mrs. C. C. Heide, and their respective families.
