PETER NEUFELD
Peter Neufeld of Fort St. John, B.C., eldest son of Peter and Anna Neufeld, was born in Sagradowka, Russia, in 1914. His famly came to Canada in 1925 and settled on a farm in Grassy Lake, Alta. His education included Bible School training in Hepburn and Coaldale., and it was during this time that he surrendered himself to Christ.
In 1937 he was married to Jessie Dueck of Winnipeg. Their home was blessed with three chosen children, a son, and two daughters. He operated a garage in Grassy Lake until 1960, after which the family moved to Ft. St. John.
At an early age Peter displayed a keen interest in mechanics, an ability which enabled him to solve many problems for people throughout his life. Although he was a quiet person, he enjoyed helping others.
He went to the Fraser Valley last year to seek help for his failing heahh, but he died in December of cancer. Funeral services were held in the Bakerview MB Church on December 18, with Rev. J. H. Quiring officiating.
He leaves to mourn his wife Jessie, one son, two daughters, 6 grandchildren, his mother, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
