PETER P. MARTENS

Peter Martens was born in Ruckenau, Molotschna, in 1882. He was born again in 1900 and baptized the same year. In 1903 he married Helena Wieler and 4 sons and 4 daughters were born from the union. In 1925 they moved to Coaldale, Alberta and later to Yarrow, B.C., where they celebrated their golden and diamond wedding anniversaries .

After spending a year in Tabor Home, he went to be with the Lord on October 1. He was 90 years old. He leaves to mourn his eight children and their families, as well as many friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his wife in 1971. Funeral services were held in the Yarrow MB Church.
