She came to Canada in 1901 with her family and settled in the Greenfarm district. This work she faithfully did until her parents passed away. In April, 1967 she was admitted to the Herbert Nursing Home where she resided until her passing.

She was predeceased by her father in 1948 and her mother in 1952, and also four sisters and two brothers. She leaves to mourn her passing, two brothers, Jake and Henry, both of Vancouver, and one sister, Elizabeth, of Herbert. The funeral was held at the Herbert Mennonite Brethren Church on January 12 with Pastor Jake Pauls ministering.
