SARA MARTENS
(Mrs.) Sara Martens of 704 Arnold Rd., Abbotsford, B.C., passed away on January 7 following a lengthy illness. She was born in 1916, in Herbert, Saskatchewan. At the age of 12 she accepted the Lord as her Saviour, and was baptised into the local Mennonite Brethren church. In 1946 she was married to John P. Martens. She worked much with the Sunday school and Ladies Aid group of her congregation. After suffering much during the last eight years of her life, she went to be with her Lord. She is survived by her loving husband John; three daughters: Mrs. Ken (Viola) Klassen, Dawson Creek; Mrs. Jake (Beverly) Schroeder, Clearbrook, B.C.; Mary Louise, Abbotsford; two sons in-law; four brothers and two sisters.
