JACOB KLAUS WIEBE

Jacob Klaus Wiebe, Herbert, Sask., passed away August 26 in the Herbert-Morse Union Hospital. He was born on Nov. 27, 1883, at Marion, Kansas, and in 1906 he moved to Herbert with his parents. Two years later, on August 16, 1908, he was baptized upon his faith and received into the Main Centre Mennonite Brethren Church. On February 28, 1909, he was united in marriage to Sarah DeFehr. He farmed in the Herbert area and also ran a business, the latter until 1944 and the former until 1960. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and four sisters, one infant son and one infant grandchild.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah; five daughters, Mrs. M. (Elsie) Piot, Fife Lake, Sask., Mrs. T. (Alma) Playford, Saskatoon, Mrs. K. (Irene) McAllister, Vancouver, Mrs. C. (Marion) Francois, Herbert, Lois Wiebe, Herbert; two sons, Leslie of Montreal and Albert Jans, Rimby, Alta.; two sisters, Mrs. P. S. (Sarah) Martens and Mrs. F.(Lena) DeFehr, both of Herbert; six grandchildren and five great grandohildren
