MARGARETHA TRINKE

Mrs. Margaretha Trinke, 76 was born to Johann and Aganetha Enns at Hoffnungsort, near Winkler, Man., on August 24, 1893. She was saved at the age of 15 under the ministry of F. Janzen, a missionary to India, and baptized in 1909 at the age of 16 by Rev. John Warkentin and taken into the fellowship of the Winkler MB Church. On July 27, 1913 she was married to John J. Trinke, a union which lasted 56 years and three months. For 21 years they lived on a farm north of Winkler.

Two sons and one daughter were born to them. Son Peter passed away at the age of six years. In 1934 they moved to the town of Winkler where she lovingly cared for an invalid sister for 15 years. She passed away at the Salem Home for the Aged in Winkler on October 24 after much suffering.

She leaves to mourn, her husband John J. Trinke; son John Trinke and wife Margaret, daughter Mildred and husband John Krahn; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. John L. Dyck (Helen), Mrs. John P. Dyck (Tina), Mrs. AA. Unruh (Annie) and Mrs, John p, Peters (Sara).

The funeral was held from the Winkler Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev J.M. Schmidt and Rev. A.A Unruh ministering.
