Sarah Bergen died in the Kelowna General Hospital on January 2, 1962. She was born in Adelsheim, Russia, on September 3rd, 1903. On June 12, 1926, she was baptized and received into the M. B. Church. She endured many hardships before she was able to come to Canada in 1947. Recollections of these experiences caused her mental breakdown and six weeks before her death she was again committed to hospital. Two sisters and a niece reside in Kelowna, where the funeral took place on January 5th.
