Dalton, Ohio, July 17. John P. Hofstetler, for the past 10 years a resident of Orville, died at his home, 322 South Vine St., at 11;55 o'clock Saturday night, after an illness of several months duration, death being due to a complication of diseases.
He was the son of Peter T. Hofstetler and Katherine, nee Neuenschwander, and was born in a country home, near Applecreek, May 22, 1860, having reached the age of 70 years, one month and 20 days at the time of his death.
He was united in marriage to Miss Amanda Graber on July 24, 1885, who survives him, as does also a daughter, Mrs. Metta Lagnese, and a son Melvin Hofstetler. He is also survived by five grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.
