Mr. Toavs was born Sept 21, 1904 in Ulen, Minn., the oldest son of the late A. F. and Maria Toavs. When he was 12 years of age he moved to Montana with his family. He attended Wolf Point schools. freeman Junior College, freeman, S. D., and Montana State College, Bozeman. | |||
He married Susan Phyllis Unrau on June 13, 1934 in the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church in Lustre. They made their home about 18 miles north of Wolf Point on a farm. | |||
Mr. Toavs was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church, taught Sunday school for many years and was church secretary for 31 years. He was an active member of the Wolf Point Gideon Camp during the past en years, serving as local and state president. | |||
Surviving are his wife Susan of Wolf Point; seven children, Mrs. Delford (Leona) Neufeld of Larsian, Mrs. James (Grace) Aust of Minneapolis, Marvel and Frances of Minneapolis, Doris of Great Falls, Willard and Ferris of Wolf Point; four grandchildren, five sisters and eight brothers. | |||
