— Frank Penner, 90, a pioneer of the Halstead community, died Saturday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gus Wiebe in Newton, where he had been living for the past four years. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Moody’s funeral chapel here and the First Mennonite church of Halstead, with Rev. D. C. Wedel and Rev. Loris Habegger officiating. Mr. Penner was born in West Prussia on May 4, 1860, and leaves two daughters and five sons.
