• Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Moody-Petersen Funeral Home for Henry Schmidt, 86, who died Thursday, March 29, at the Bethel Deaconess Hospital. Rev. James Waltner officiated, and burial was made in the Tabor Church Cemetery. Mr. Schmidt farmed for many years and later was employed as maintenance man at a Newton hotel. He was a member of the Tabor Church. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Agnes Gay of Newton, and a brother-in-law, Peter H. Hiebert of Goessel. | |||
