&bull;  Mrs. Emma Schmidt, 79, who resided in Goessel with a daughter, Mrs. H. O. Regier, died last Thursday at the Axtell Hospital after sustaining a fractured hip in a fall two days earlier.  Funeral services were held Monday forenoon at the Alexanderwohl Church with Rev. Aaron Epp in charge.  Mrs. Schmidt, the former Emma Unruh,,was married to H. U. Schmidt in 1905 and they lived on a farm north of Goessel.  He died in 1940.  Survivors include another daughter, Mrs. Mathilda Franz of Goessel, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
