He had made an all-night trip on the Santa Fe and arrived here Thursday afternoon. Word was received here on Monday the [''sic''] Miss Schmidt had passed away and that the funeral would be held at Oraibi, Ariz., on Tuesday. Miss Schmidt was suffering from cancer.

— Rev. P. H. Richert of Goessel returned home last week from Arizona, where he had been called because of the serious illness of Mrs. Richert’s sister, Miss Elizabeth Schmidt. He had made an all-night trip on the Santa Fe and arrived here Thursday afternoon. Word was received here on Monday the [sic] Miss Schmidt had passed away and that the funeral would be held at Oraibi, Ariz., on Tuesday. Miss Schmidt was suffering from cancer.
