Ruth Rose, 73, died Monday evening at the Halstead Hospital after a short illness. | |||
She was born April 20, 1898 and moved to Halstead in 1924 from Hutchinson. | |||
She retired in July as medical librarian at the Hertzler Research Foundation and was private secretary to the late Dr. A. E. Hertzler. | |||
She was a member of the Halstead First Mennonite Church. | |||
There are no immediate survivors. | |||
Funeral services were Thursday morning at the First Mennonite Church with Rev. D. C. Wedel and Rev. Robert Suderman officiating. Mrs. Esko Loewen was organist. | |||
Casket bearers were Howard Ewy, Arlen Fast, Jay Ruth, Walter Lehman, Galen Dreese, and Ralph Kroeker. | |||
Burial was in the Halstead cemetery. | |||
Two memorials have been established — one for the organ fund at the church and one at the Kansas Health Museum. | |||

Ruth Rose, First Church, Halstead, Kan., was born April 20, 1898, and died Sept. 28.

RUTH ROSE
Ruth Rose, 73, died Monday evening at the Halstead Hospital after a short illness.
She was born April 20, 1898 and moved to Halstead in 1924 from Hutchinson.
She retired in July as medical librarian at the Hertzler Research Foundation and was private secretary to the late Dr. A. E. Hertzler.
She was a member of the Halstead First Mennonite Church.
There are no immediate survivors.
Funeral services were Thursday morning at the First Mennonite Church with Rev. D. C. Wedel and Rev. Robert Suderman officiating. Mrs. Esko Loewen was organist.
