— Funeral services were held at the Johannestal church near Hillsboro last Friday for John A. Bartel, 73, a lifelong resident of the Johannestal community who died Jan. 13 at Wesley Hospital in Wichita.  Rev. Esko Loewen, the pastor, officiated.  Mr. Bartel is survived by his second wife, the former Frieda Ewert, four children, Mrs. Leonard Rempel of Newton, Mrs. Chester Unruh of Hillsboro, Mrs. Bert LaRoe of Wichita, and Roland Bartel of Hillsboro, two brothers, H. W. and Ed Bartel of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

— Funeral services were held at the Johannestal church near Hillsboro last Friday for John A.
