• Funeral services for David Balzer, 77, lifelong resident of Marion County, were held Saturday afternoon at the Tabor Mennonite Church, with Rev. James Waltner officiating. Mr. Balzer died Thursday morning at the home on Route 2, Newton, where he had resided since 1917. Surviving are his widow, the former Sarah Schroeder; one son, Elmer Balzer of Newton; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Frey of Prescott, Ariz. and Mrs. Peter R. Fast of Goessel. | |||
