Two Goshen, Ind., Girls Drown in Lake Michigan

Goshen, Ind. — A Fourth of July family outing turned into tragedy when Ivette Acevedo, 11, and her sister, Elizabeth, 8, drowned in Lake Michigan.

The girls are survived by their parents, Abraham and Elizabeth Acevedo, a sister, and grandparents.

Funeral services were held at Iglesia Menonita del Buen Pastor Church, where the family attended.
