Wife of Long-Time Art Professor Dies
Bluffton, Ohio. — Funeral services for Mrs. Anna (Dyck) Klassen, 82, whose husband, John P., is associate professor of art emeritus at Bluffton College, were held at the First Mennonite Church here on Sunday afternoon, June 22. Rev. Stanley Bohn, the pastor, officiated.
Mrs. Klassen died at Bluffton Community Hospital on Friday morning, June 20.
A native of Chortitza-Rosenthal area in the Ukraine, she was married to Prof. Klassen in 1921. They led immigrants from Russia in 1923-24 and came to the U. S. in 1924. He taught at Bluffton College from 1924 to 1958.
In addition to her husband, the survivors include four sons, Herbert J. of Anoma, Calif., Paul P. and Carl H. of Wadsworth, and Otto D. of Elkhart; and a daughter, Anita (Mrs. Oliver Lugibihl) of Pandora.
