Hiram S. Locher, 72, died at his home Saturday morning, Dec. 20. he was born in Riley Township, Putnam Co., the son of Christian and Verena (Luginbihl) Locher. As a young man he taught in the district schools in the Settlement. | |||
He was for a time interested in the mercantile business as a member of the firm of Baumgartner, Locher and Co., Bluffton clothiers. He has been the president of the Citizens National Bank since the organization 29 years ago. | |||
Mr. Locher was a member of the First Mennonite church, Bluffton, Ohio, where he served actively on various board and committees and was a Sunday school teacher for some time. | |||
He is survived by a son, Oliver at Clearwater, Florida; and two daughters, Ruth of Cleveland and Mrs. Dwain Murray of Marrietta [''sic'' Marietta], Ohio. A sister and three brothers also survive. | |||

Hiram S. Locher, 72, died at his home Saturday morning, Dec. 20. he was born in Riley Township, Putnam Co., the son of Christian and Verena (Luginbihl) Locher. As a young man he taught in the district schools in the Settlement.
He was for a time interested in the mercantile business as a member of the firm of Baumgartner, Locher and Co., Bluffton clothiers. He has been the president of the Citizens National Bank since the organization 29 years ago.
Mr. Locher was a member of the First Mennonite church, Bluffton, Ohio, where he served actively on various board and committees and was a Sunday school teacher for some time.
