<center><h3>Two Girls Killed, Three Injured In Car-Train Crash</h3></center>
 
Goshen, Ind. — A car carrying five girl students at North Wood High School near Wakarusa crashed into a Norfolk and Western freight train at a crossing southeast of there Sept. 24, killing two of them and injuring the other three.
 
Dead are Lynda K. Lechlitner, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin J. Lechlitner, and Traci J. Pattison, 17, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. John A. Pattison of the United Methodist Church, Wakarusa. Double funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Yellow Creek Brick Mennonite Church. The Lechlitner girl was a member of the Nappanee Brethren in Christ Church.
 
Jo Lynne Metzler, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Metzler, suffered critical injuries in the crash. Her cousin, Lucienne Metzler, 18, and Tena L. McCarty, 17, were in fair condition.
