—  Harold E. Miller, 56, of Elkhart, Ind. and formerly of Newton, died July 19 at the Veterans Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind. following surgery.  He had been ill for about three months.  Funeral services were conducted July 22 at  the Pleasant Oaks Mennonite Church near Middlebury, Ind.  A native of Bristol, Ind., he married Anna Mary Smeltzer in 1939.  She survives with three sons, Keith, Gerald and David, all of the home.  Other survivors include his step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Pletcher, and a half-sister, Mrs. Charles Harr, all of Newton.
