• Funeral services for Willie B. Nickel, 72, were held Aug. 31 at the Faith Mennonite Church, with Rev. Myron Schrag officiating. Mr. Nickel became ill on Monday, Aug. 28, while driving his car near Marion, and died while being taken to the hospital there. A retired farmer, for a number of years he had been crossing guard on Highway 81 for Northridge school children. Surviving are his widow, Susie, three sons, two daughters, 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters. A daughter, Rebecca, is a missionary at Casa Grande, Ariz. | |||
