● Funeral services for Kerry Reed Wiens, six-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur R. Wiens of Inman, were held Saturday at the Inman Mennonite Church, with Rev. Roger Siebert and Rev. Ed R. Stucky in charge. The child, who had been ill since birth, died July 22 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. Surviving in addition to the parents are a brother, Kevin Rene, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed E. Wiens of Inman and Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Friesen of Meade. | |||

Kerry Reed Wins was born in Moundridge, Kan. on Dec. 26, 1964, and passed away at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge, on July 22, 1965, reaching the age of six months and 26 days. | |||
He was born with a muscular disease known as A Mytonia Congenita which made it difficult for him to control his muscles. In recent months he had four attacks of pneumonia and spent considerable time in the hospital. In spite of all possible medical care given, breathing became more difficult and he passed to his reward at 4 p.m. on July 22. | |||
He was a friendly baby and had a ready smile for anyone and everyone, and particularly for his brother Kevin. He loved to hear the singing of hymns and seemed fascinated by the song, “Jesus Loves Me.” Even though his life on this earth was only a short while, he brought much joy to his family and friends. | |||
He leaves to mourn his departure his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Wiens; his brother, Kevin; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Friesen of Made, Kan.; and a host of relatives and friends. | |||
