Joseph Plank, son of Samuel Plank, was instantly killed, and two companions, Jonas Yoder and Abe Schlabaugh, were injured and sent to the hospital. A fourth member of the group, Abe Garver, had just gotten out at his home a few minutes earlier.

ONE KILLED, TWO INJURED WHEN CAR STRIKES TREE

Plain City, Ohio. — The weekend trip to Holmes county of four local young men ended in tragedy early Monday morning Sept 19, when their car went out of control on a curve and struck a tree.

Joseph Plank, son of Samuel Plank, was instantly killed, and two companions, Jonas Yoder and Abe Schlabaugh, were injured and sent to the hospital. A fourth member of the group, Abe Garver, had just gotten out at his home a few minutes earlier.
