Dalton, Ohio, July 17. John P. Hofstetler, for the past 10 years a resident of Orville, died at his home, 322 South Vine St., at 11;55 o'clock Saturday night, after an illness of several months duration, death being due to a complication of diseases. | |||
He was the son of Peter T. Hofstetler and Katherine, nee Neuenschwander, and was born in a country home, near Applecreek, May 22, 1860, having reached the age of 70 years, one month and 20 days at the time of his death. | |||
He was united in marriage to Miss Amanda Graber on July 24, 1885, who survives him, as does also a daughter, Mrs. Metta Lagnese, and a son Melvin Hofstetler. He is also survived by five grandchildren and several brothers and sisters. | |||
Early in life he united with the Sonnenberg Mennonite church, of which he was a faithful member for many years. | |||
Funeral services were held from the late home at 2 o'clock, tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. L. Scherry. Interment was made in Crown Hill cemetery. — Dalton Gazette. | |||

Dalton, Ohio, July 17. John P. Hofstetler, for the past 10 years a resident of Orville, died at his home, 322 South Vine St., at 11;55 o'clock Saturday night, after an illness of several months duration, death being due to a complication of diseases.
He was the son of Peter T. Hofstetler and Katherine, nee Neuenschwander, and was born in a country home, near Applecreek, May 22, 1860, having reached the age of 70 years, one month and 20 days at the time of his death.
