Hospital Worker From Illinois Dies in Indianapolis Crash
Metamora, Ill. — Lawrence Alan Hostetler, 19, of Roanoke was fatally injured in Indianapolis, Ind. the night of April 27 when his auto went out of control and crashed into a utility pole.
He died at 11 a.m. April 28 at Methodist Hospital, where he had been in 1-W service the past 13 months as an x-ray control clerk. It was reported that a 19-year-old motorist stopped and rescued the youth from this wrecked car, which shortly afterward burst into flames.
Survivors include the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Hostetler of Roanoke, four brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were held May 2 at the Linn Amish Mennonite Church.
