— A tragic accident in Burrton last Saturday evening claimed the lives of a young Burrton couple, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip R. Hurst. Their car, driven by Mr. Hurst, skidded into the side of an eastbound Santa Fe freight train in the west part of Burrton. Mr. Hurst died instantly, and his wife passed away several hours later in the Halstead hospital. She was the former Betty Jean Enns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Enns of Burrton, and besides the parents is survived by a sister, Sara, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Holzrichter of Burrton. Mr. Hurst is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Hurst of Burrton, three brothers and one sister. Double funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Burrton Christian church. | |||
