Farmer Crushed Under Wheels of Truck
SAM C. RUPP DIES WHILE HELPING HAUL FEED AT SON'S FARM
Archbold, Ohio. — While helping haul feed at the farm of his son, Ray A. Rupp, near Burlington, 69-year-old Sam C. Rupp of Elmira was crushed under the rear dual wheel of the loaded truck.
The cause of the accident could not be determined, but officials sumised [sic] that he may have suffered a heart attack or fallen under the wheel of the backing truck.
A lifetime resident of this area, Mr. Rupp had retired from farming several years ago. Funeral services were conducted at the Evangelical Mennonite Church here Sunday, Dec.7, Rev. H. E. Bertsche officiating.
