• Mrs. Waldo D. Rempel, 57, died Friday evening, March 21, at Bethel Deaconess Hospital where she had been admitted on March 19 after suffering a heart attack. She was employed as housekeeping coordinator at Prairie View Mental Health Center. The funeral was conducted Monday afternoon at the Bethel College Church, with Rev. Esko Loewen officiating. Mrs. Rempel was the former Esther Ruth Schmidt of Buhler. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Richard of Champaign, Ill. and John of Palm Springs, Calif.; her mother, Mrs. Anna Schmidt of Newton; five sisters and three brothers. A brother, Alvin Schmidt of Buhler, preceded her in death by only 10 days. | |||
