<center><h3>12-YEAR-OLD LANCASTER COUNTY BOY STRANGLED IN FARM ACCIDENT</h3></center> 
Ephrata, Pa. &#8212; A freak accident at the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan M. Reiff of Route 4, Lititz, claimed the life of their 12-year-old son, Ivan Ray Reiff. 
The youth had climbed to the top of the silo to free a silo unloading mechanism and while returning to the ground his shirt became entangled in the revolving shaft.  He died instantly of strangulation.  Two neighbors climbed the 45-foot silo to bring the youngster to the ground.   
Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at the Hinkletown Mennonite Church where the boy attended Sunday school.
