Retired Teacher Called by Death
Mountain Lake, Minn. — Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church in Windom Jan. 5 for Dietrich J. Heppner, 64, well-known retired teacher and native of Butterfield, Minn. He suffered a fatal stroke of paralysis on New Year’s day at Milford, Utah, while on the train en route to California to spend the winter.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Mr. Heppner taught vocational agriculture in several Minnesota communities and later was a superintendent and teacher in Iowa schools.
Among the survivors are two brothers, Ben and P. J. Heppner of Mt. Lake.
