PIONEER MISSIONARY OF CONGO INLAND MISSION DIES AT AGE 81
Elkhart, Ind. — Word was received here that Rev. L. B. Haigh, 81, first missionary to be sent to the Belgian Congo by the Congo Inland Mission, died in December at Salisbury, N. C.
Rev. Haigh and his first wife, the former Rose Boehning, pioneered on the Congo field from 1906 to 1921. He later served as pastor of the North Danvers church at Danvers, Ill. for about two years.
