LIFE LONG RESIDENT OF IOWA COMMUNITY DIED AFTER FALL
Wellman, Iowa. — On Sunday, June 8, funeral services were held at the East Union Mennonite church for Mrs. Dan B. Swartzendruber, 77, who died at Mercy hospital June 5 after suffering injuries in a fall at her home in Kalona. Services were in charge of Bishop D. J. Fisher.
Mrs. Swartzendruber, the former Annie Guengerich, was born in Johnson county and was a life long resident of this vicinity. She and her husband, who died in 1950, lived on a farm near Kalona for nearly 50 years.
Surviving are one daughter, three sons, brothers and sisters.
