&#8212; The Wayland, Ia., News reports the following tragedy which recently claimed the life of a former resident of that community:  Last Thursday afternoon the Wayland community was shocked to hear of the shooting of Dan Good at Washington.
The shooting occurred at the oil station near the Diamond Inn in the west part of Washinton [''sic'' Washington].
Bill Jordan, an engineer at the power company came to the Diamond Inn shooting a waitress, Mable Sayre.  He then shot Dale Denison, Dan Good and Roy White.  Denison was wounded near the heart and White was shot in the shoulder.  Good being shot through the body, the bullet passing near the spine.  He died about 12 hours later in the Washington County hospital.
In his youth he was baptized at the Sugar Creek church, later transferred membership to the Wayland Mennonite church.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the sugar Creek church and interment was made in the Sugar Creek cemetery.
