+ | Rebecca Faye Sommerfeld, 22, of Newton was found dead Apr. 7 near Hesston. Services were held Saturday at Whitestone Mennonite Church, Hesston, with Rev. Jerry Weaver officiating. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Sommerfeld of rural Halstead; four brothers, Stan and Lyle, both of Sharon Springs, and Jerry and Glen of rural Halstead; two sisters, Mrs. Leslie (Janice) Dyck of rural Moundridge and Elva Bateham of Wichita. Miss Sommerfeld, who had been undergoing medical treatment, was an apparent suicide victim. |

Rebecca Faye Sommerfeld, 22, of Newton was found dead Apr. 7 near Hesston. Services were held Saturday at Whitestone Mennonite Church, Hesston, with Rev. Jerry Weaver officiating. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Sommerfeld of rural Halstead; four brothers, Stan and Lyle, both of Sharon Springs, and Jerry and Glen of rural Halstead; two sisters, Mrs. Leslie (Janice) Dyck of rural Moundridge and Elva Bateham of Wichita.
