— Funeral services for Mrs. Selma B. Goering, 76, wife of C. H. Goering of Moundridge, were held Thursday afternoon, March 16, at the First Mennonite Church of Christian in Moundridge. Floyd Quenzer and Rev. Ed R. Stucky officiated. In failing health for some time, Mrs. Goering died March 13 at the Memorial Home for Aged. Survivors include her husband, who is president of the Citizens State Bank, Moundridge; thee sons, Waldo and Dr. Robert Goering of Moundridge and Rev. Paul Goering of Wichita; and a brother, Ernest Bachman of Newton. | |||

Selma Bachman Goering, daughter of Peter and Katharina Bachman, was born on April 27, 1884, near Halstead, Kan. She died on March 13, 1961, in Moundridge, Kan. | |||
She was baptized on confession of her faith in Jesus Christ by Rev. S. S. Baumgartner on Nov. 27, 1898, and became a member of the Garden Township Mennonite Church. | |||
She graduated from the Halstead Hospital School of Nursing in the first graduating class and became a registered nurse in 1913. | |||
She was married to Christian H. Goering of Moundridge on Sept. 12, 1915. | |||
She later joined the First Mennonite Church of Christian in Moundridge where she remained a member until her death. She was a teacher in the Sunday school for many years and also served in the Women's Mission Society. | |||
Survivors include her husband, C. H. Goering; three sons and their families, Waldo A., Paul L., and Robert C. Goering; one sister, Mrs. P. J. Bartel; six brothers, Adolph, David, Ernest, Peter W., Otto and Gerhard Bachman, in addition to other relatives and friends. | |||
