West Liberty, Ohio. &#8212; Funeral services were conducted at the Oak Grove Mennonite Church here March 17 for J. J. Smucker, 87, a resident of the West Liberty community for 81 years.  He died March 14 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. A. D. Bixler, at Elkhart, Ind., where he had lived since January of this year.
 
A native of Wayne County, Ohio, he came to West Liberty with his parents at the age of six and farmed here for many years.
 
Surviving are he aged wife, the former Barbara Esch, two sons, three daughters, 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grand-children.

Aged Grandfather Died at Elkhart

West Liberty, Ohio. — Funeral services were conducted at the Oak Grove Mennonite Church here March 17 for J. J. Smucker, 87, a resident of the West Liberty community for 81 years. He died March 14 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. A. D. Bixler, at Elkhart, Ind., where he had lived since January of this year.

A native of Wayne County, Ohio, he came to West Liberty with his parents at the age of six and farmed here for many years.

Surviving are he aged wife, the former Barbara Esch, two sons, three daughters, 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grand-children.
