West Liberty, Ohio. — Funeral services were conducted at the Oak Grove Mennonite Church here March 17 for J. J. Smucker, 87, a resident of the West Liberty community for 81 years. He died March 14 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. A. D. Bixler, at Elkhart, Ind., where he had lived since January of this year. | |||
A native of Wayne County, Ohio, he came to West Liberty with his parents at the age of six and farmed here for many years. | |||
Surviving are he aged wife, the former Barbara Esch, two sons, three daughters, 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grand-children. | |||

Aged Grandfather Died at Elkhart
West Liberty, Ohio. — Funeral services were conducted at the Oak Grove Mennonite Church here March 17 for J. J. Smucker, 87, a resident of the West Liberty community for 81 years. He died March 14 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. A. D. Bixler, at Elkhart, Ind., where he had lived since January of this year.
