• Funeral services for Peter I. Schroeder, 83, were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church. Dr. Albert Epp, the pastor, officiated. Mr. Schroeder died unexpectedly Saturday evening at Bethel Deaconess Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of this area and a retired cabinet maker. Surviving are his widow, the former Susie Wiebe; four daughters, Mrs. Willis Fitch, Mrs. Willis Andres, and Mrs. Billy Kennedy, all of Newton, and Mrs. Bill Moran of Whittier, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Woelk, Mrs. Anna Woelk, and Mrs. Sarah Goerzen, all of Newton; two brothers, Wm. I. and Henry I., both of Newton; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. | |||
