— David J. Schroeder, 69, of rural Hillsboro died Saturday, Aug. 7, at Bethel Deaconess Hospital here. He was a native of Marion County, and married Anna Krause at Goessel in 1927. They lived on a farm near Goessel until 1942, and then resided in the Elbing and Peabody communities until returning to the Goessel area in 1963. Mrs. Schroeder died in 1969. Survivors include three sons, Earl of Newton, David P. of rural Newton, and Ivan of Wichita; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Ann) Boese of rural Canton, Mrs. Ralph (Lois) Janzen of rural Hillsboro, and Mrs. Rudolf (Jean) Newfield of Peabody; 21 grandchildren;and three sisters, Mrs. Sara Balzer, Mrs Margaret Janzen, and Mrs. Mariam Wiederstein, all of Goessel. | |||
