• Funeral services for Mrs. Elisabeth Goering Schrag, 87, widow of Jacob J. Schrag, were held Sunday afternoon at the Eden Mennonite Church near Moundridge, with Rev. Arnold Nickel in charge. Mrs. Schrag died Friday at the Peabody Memorial Nursing Home. The former Elisabeth Goering, she was a native and lifelong resident of the Moundridge community. Surviving in the immediate family are eight children and a number of grandchildren, including one great-great-grandchild. Joe Schrag of North Newton is among the six surviving sons. Two sisters and three brothers also survive.
