Willie (Bill) T. Schmidt was born in Washita County, Oklahoma on Aug. 3, 1906. He was baptized on July 31, 1921 by J. Flaming and received into the Sichar Mennonite Church. | |||
He was married to Lydia Pankratz on Feb. 23, 1930. | |||
He was a deacon and also leader in the Sichar Church and secretary of the Sichar Cemetery Assn. When the Sichar Church disbanded he united as a charter member with the First Mennonite Church of Clinton, Okla. Here he also served as a deacon. He remained a member of this church until his death. | |||
He suffered a stroke on July 23, 1969 from which he never completely recovered. He died on Feb. 26, 1974 at the age of 67. | |||
He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Lydia; two sons, Kenneth and Ronald, and one daughter-in-law, Linda; brothers, Jacob and Henry, of Cordell; one sister, Bernita Pankratz of Reedley, Calif, and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Ben Pankratz, of Fresno, Calif. | |||
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Anna Schmidt, three brothers and one sister. | |||

WILLIE T. SCHMIDT
Willie (Bill) T. Schmidt was born in Washita County, Oklahoma on Aug. 3, 1906. He was baptized on July 31, 1921 by J. Flaming and received into the Sichar Mennonite Church.
He was married to Lydia Pankratz on Feb. 23, 1930.
