● Anton Schmidt, 60, a member of the Grace Hill Church, died Tuesday at Bethel Hospital. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Schmidt of Route 3, Newton, with whom he made his home, and a brother of Rev. John F. Schmidt of North Newton. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 at the Grace Hill Church, with Rev. Herbert Miller in charge. | |||

● Funeral services for Anton L. Schmidt, 60, who farmed most of his life in Pleasant Township east of Newton, were held last Friday at the Grace Hill Church with Rev. Herbert Miller officiating. Mr. Schmidt died Sept. 25 at the Bethel Hospital. He never married. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob B. Schmidt of the home on Route 3, Newton; one sister, Mrs. Valentine Harms of Route 3; and three brothers, John F. of North Newton, Tobias of Route 3, Newton; and Aaron K. of South Bend, Ind. | |||
