• Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Schmidt, 84, widow of Henry P. P. Schmidt, were held Sunday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl Church near Goessel. Rev. Aaron Epp officiated. Mrs. Schmidt died May 12 at the McPherson County Hospital. She had lived in the Newton and Goessel communities since the death of her husband in 1926, entering the Bethesda Home in 1961. Since April of this year she had been cared for at a McPherson nursing home. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Jacob U. Schmidt of Newton and Elizabeth Hiebert of Goessel. | |||
