In her early youth she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. She was baptized June 3, 1906 and remained a member of the New Hopedale Mennonite Church until her death. Most of her life was spent in the Menno community except for five years in California.

She leaves to mourn six children: Harold of Enid, Virgie (Mrs. Gus Koehn), Newton, Kan.; Dorothy (Mrs. Julius Koehn), Oklahoma City; Elvera (Mrs. Harold Jantz), Tampa, Kan.; Delores (Mrs. Ralph Stevens), Meno, Okla.; Florence (Mrs. Wenley Bergman) Newton.
